Im in FL & Im laying St.Aug. The yard has dead sod& weeds. How do I prepair the yard.I was told to mow low &lay

Answers:
Make sure there are no low spots and put down a layer of dirt (we used a fine grain sand). It will need lots of water at first to keep it from wilting and encourage deep root growth. You should be able to use a weed & feed product to help the St. Augustine get established & combat the weeds. Check out the link below, it's from your neck of the woods so it'll help.
