Answers:    Typically a Peace Lilly plant will only grow 3-4 inches departed the diameter of the pot. Now this does not apply to all plants. I enjoy a few. You need to re pot the plant to something a moment or two smaller. First make sure the pot you use have plenty of drainage. In the bottom of the pot put a layer of small rocks or pottery shards. Fill pot next to high power potting soil. You can now purchase mixes that already contain a slow release fertilizer. Miracle make one. remove as much of the old soil as possible form the plant it's self. You will concentration where the shoots are purely starting to emerge from the base of the plant. stuff new soil surrounded by pot at least 1/2 means of access and place plant in pot making sure to spread the root system next fill beside soil to 1in. from rim of pot gently tamp soil down to contribute a Little support to plant. Peace Lillie's like the shade. Don't over river. 1x a week is fine. Soak through. And you can also trim just the brown edges or prune the outer leaves. the latter will abet promote healthy brand new growth. It takes more nutrients from the plant for it to sustain a tattered leaf than to grow a hot one.

Just trim the brown tips rotten.
Root bound is where the roots crowd the whole pot - usually growing around surrounded by circle. It takes a while for a plant to become root bound.
Fertilize beside either when the plant begin to show new growth. Most plants own a resting period surrounded by the winter and don't need much food or as much dampen. Be sure not to water too much.
root bound imply that that the roots take adjectives the room in the pot where on earth the roots start to circle, not really an ideal situation, ideally you should hold an inch of topsoil from the root to the pot all the mode around
