I would say rototill the land where the stickers are, make sure you get down to the roots, then plant grass or put malch down.. (malch helps sufficate the growth of weeds) some strong weed killers might work

you can't kill them. they really don't grow... and even if u do manage somehow to 'kill' them, they will still b there. they are like seed pods

I bet your local garden store can recommend a spray. Otherwise, from what i remember if you pull them up by their roots they will still regrow if you lay them on the yard. Throw them on concrete until they are dead.

spray a broad leaf killer on them and cut them out first if possible and then spray the areas and the roots youll have to retreat after a week
I recommend vinegar a good strong cider vinegar is best nontoxic too for the kiddies
