How recurrently do you move chains on a chainsaw?
Answers: I know people who fine-tuning them more often than at hand under wear and hold them sharpened. I leave mine on the saw to sharpen and merely replace when a few teeth begin to break past its sell-by date. RScott

I similar to to buy two--one to show and one to go; when one get dull I bring it to the hardware store for sharpening, and use the sharp one until IT gets dull.
When they start to lose their limit. You can tell this by the size of chip self thrown out. When getting dull the chips are much smaller and can be like dust.
Sharpen the tie up or get it sharpened
