How much to cut down a large tree?
Thanks

It's a little late now, but if you can stand to stare at a dead tree for another summer, most tree trimmers/removers will give a winter discount.
We had a ginormous cottonwood removed from our backyard. We chose to leave the stump, so that made the price a little cheaper, but this tree was huge. At least 50 years old and both my husband and myself could not put our arms around the trunk together.
In the dead of January, we had the tree removed for $300. The tree guys said if we'd removed it in the spring/summer the cost would almost double. That $300 only included the tree cutting though. It was not hauled off, as we will use the wood in our fireplace, nor was the stump removed. Hope this helps!

I would have to know a few things before I could quote a price. Some of the things I would need to know are as follows;
1.Are there power lines or telephone lines in the way
2.Is the tree leaning towards your house or any other buildings.
3.are there any fence lines in the way of the tree's fall direction
4.How tall is the tree
5.Is the tree multi trunked
6.Is the tree rotten on the inside
7.Do you want the wood,or do I have to haul it off for you
These are the things I need to know in order to give you a quote!
Haha, I hope the plumber remembers to wear a belt when he's bent over those roots.
I've never had a tree removed but I suppose it depends on where you live and all that good stuff. If it were me, I'd just pray for lightning to zap the bugger.
