Will Chinese Foxglove die to the ground?
Answers: Depends... if you are referring to Digitalis purpurea, then it will probably die but may re-seed. If you are referring to Rehmannia elata, later it will most likely stay evergreen and live on. However, it is rate to USDA Z9 so harsh winters will do it within.
If it freezes, it will most likely die. It will grow again when it warm up.
My foxgloves dies back within October (Zone 5), and comes back up surrounded by March/April...or at least begin to. My second-year plants will bloom in untimely July here. I don't know when they will bloom in your zone.
If you do not draw from any freezes, it just might verbs growing for you.
