I have a young lemon tree, probably only a foot high. It's starting to get some buds on it already, my question is how can I protect it from insects such as beetles?
Answers:
You can try soapy water for a start or make the tree strong as it can be. Some little blood and bone when the time is right....Water deeply twice a week..early morning or late afternoon..Is the tree grafted or no?Sounds like a seedling..then OK then clear the trunk..scale,aphids,fungal diseases, gall wasps..keep mulch away from trunk ie collar rot disease and water regulary about the same time to avoid fruit split .Keep the tree open to light and air and food.Margaritaville,eh. Good Luck.
