do trees give off carbon monoxide during day time? and oxygen at night? or anytime for that matter?

Answers:
During photosynthesis (making food) during the day plants give off Oxygen and during respiration (burning food for energy) at night plants give off Carbon Dioxide. Plants don't sleep at night!

Other answers:
Trees don't give off carbon monoxide at all. They always produce oxygen.
Trees don't give off carbon monoxide at all. They always produce oxygen.
Nope, just oxygen.

They use carbon DIOXIDE. Carbon MONoxide comes out of a car's exhaust and other fossil fuel things.
Trees do not ever give off carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide is a toxic byproduct of the burning of fossil fuels. You are probably thinking of carbon DIoxide, however, it is animals, and not plants which give that off. Trees take in carbon dioxide, use it, and then expell oxygen as waste. People then breate the oxygen, use it, and expell carbon dioxide as waste, then the whole process begins again.
Trees and all living green plants take in carbon dioxide and give of oxygen. Just the opposite of animals including humans. That is why our rain forest are so important. they replenish our oxygen supply
All green plants produce oxygen as a byproduct of photosynthesis. Good Green plants. Carbon Dioxide, water and sunlight are used by these plants to make their food. We exhale CO2, plants use it. Plants produce O2, we use it. Nice little cycle, eh?
