I have a ceiling admirer that has a insubstantial bulb broken in it. THe cup bulb itself separated from the metal parts and that's what's stuck inside the light. My DD tried to remove near needle proboscis pliers and didn't have much luck. Made a mess next to broken bits of metal all over..... Anyway, I've hear of using a potato to remove them. I've never tried it and the idea make me very troubled. Help.....
Answers: Yes, you can. We actually did this at a video store I worked within. We had a broken rotten bulb like you desribed and I go up to the grocery store and bought a potato. We cut it in partially and stuck it to what was departed of the bulb and then turned it. It come right out and there be no mess because the mess was contained by the potato. LOL. We thought it looked funny though on the expense report for that month that money was taken out of the register to buy a potato. It's a suitable idea though to turn the breaker sour to that light past doing this.
