There is smoke coming out of my shower. Is it safe to keep using it?
Answers:
I wouldn't use any electricity and immediately call someone before your house catches on fire.
Other answers:
Water and smoke are not a good combination. If there is some sort of electrical issue causing the smoke, you'll electrocute yourself. Regardless, any time there is smoke and you're not barbecuing, you need to have it checked out. Call an electrician.

Call for help immediately. DO NOT wait. Call the fire department they can come check out the smoke.
Electrocution is a possibility.
A house fire is an even greater possibility.
no
I would have certified handyman or electrician come out right a way. and you probably shouldn't use the shower until someone has fixed what ever the problem is...If your breaker panel for the house is well marked I would suggest flipping the breaker off for that bathroom until help gets there.. It sounds like a major fire risk!
Is it SMOKE or STEAM? The easiest way to tell is by turning on ONLY COLD WATER & if the "smoke" is still coming out, you need to call your landlord or a plumber/electrical specialist. You could also call your local utility company & ask them to send a repair person out to assess the problem for free. If it is electrical in nature, they may have to turn off your power & tag the property until the problem has been fixed.
Leave the water off, turn the light on- see if there is smoke, if so its the light wire- no reason for a small hole in the Cieling- and none for smoke- hmmm could it be a Camera eye. lol hope not.
you sure its not steam? why would you have any wires run into your shower? But if it IS smoke, stay out of the shower til you call a... hmmmmmm plumber or electrician.
