Has anyone used Facades, a type of Stucco or Dryvit ??? Facades is based in Springfield, Missouri.?

Answers:
i live in west plains mo and do alot of house remodeling. dryvit or stucco is not a good idea around here at all. first the high humidity is a problem. Dryvit is usually applied over Styrofoam and the walls tend to "sweat" and cause a host of rotting and other problems. Ive never cut into a very old dryvit wall without seeing some moisture damage. Another thing to keep in mind is we will get a few bad hailstorms every year and the hail is kinda hard on dryvit.....True stucco is 3 layers of concrete and is pretty tough stuff, but it is heavy and will crack if the house settles. Stucco doesn't seem to cause as many moisture problems as dryvit but it is usually more expensive to have applied.
