As already said, the airing cupboard is the easiest place usually for installing a combi, the system have to be converted, so the pump and valves, timer and roomstat can be removed, the gas pipe may inevitability re-sizing, this can be from the airing cupboard all the means of access back to the metre, and a condensate pipe will have need of to be run to the nearest drain point.
