Does anybody have a design for a grease trap?

The kitchen sink usually carries oil to the drain. the drain goes down to a grease trap where the oil is trapped and the rest goes out to the sewer. I need an effective grease trap.

Answers:
You can purchase a commercial grease trap from the link below. Go to the Interceptors link. There is also information about how to select a grease trap. Another manufacturer is Zurn. You also need to check your local plumbing codes as to where this can be installed. Good luck!

Other answers:
In the US, most homes do not have grease traps. We limit the amount of grease going down the drain by putting it in a container and then disposing of it with other household garbage. It may be that one day this grease will be collected separately to convert to fuel.
