How long should a 75 gallon hot sea heating system behind the times hot wet?

I have a considerable home but only 2 ethnic group. after 10 minutes the hot water is not gone but I can no longer receive it hotter. I flushed the system recently and it seem as though that was not the issue. I would reflect that I could take a shower for an hour and not own a problem as I am having. It is 10 years outdated.

Answers:    Considering that you do have hot marine for a while you can rule out having doomed to failure elements. Since the unit is 10 years older it is more likely that you own a defective dip tube. The dip tube forces the incoming cold water to the bottom of the cistern so it does not mix with the hot hose near the top. If the dip tube fail the cold and hot water mixes and you receive lots of luke warm hose.

Many many dip tubes be recalled years ago because they be made from a plastic that dissolves in hot dampen. The recall is no longer going on so if to be precise your problem you will not get a free replacement.

For nearly $10 you can get a fresh dip tube. If you are handy you can install it yourself or pay a plumber for an hour of work. Of course since the marine heater is 10 years mature you might be better off replacing it.

If you enjoy real frozen water you should consider replacing it. I own seed 20 year elderly water heaters still going fine and 10 year frail units backfire. It is your choice.

Here is a good article on dip tubes.
