What do I do with my deck doIpaint or stain it 7 what is the best product to do the job?

Answers:
Stain will last much longer than paint. You can use either a solid stain or semi-transparent. As is the case with paint, surface preparation is very important. Also, buy the very best you can afford. You sill save in the ong run. Good luck

After years of annually pressure washing and staining my large deck, I finally gave up. I gave it a final pressure washing and painted the whole thing, including the floor, with a water based paint. After about 4 years the paint still looks like new.

the best thing to do with your deck is to use Thompson Water Seal on it- you do not want to paint it - if you stain it Thompson also has a deck stain- you want to make sure that the deck is ready to be stained as you do not want it to rot out on you.

Thompson deck and water seal is the best products out there- it may cost a few dollars more than the cheaper brands- but you get what you pay for. In the long run it is cheaper to use Thompson's! Been there- done it!
