flushed plaster down toilet?

i inadvertently flushed a medium size block of plaster down the toilet. Used a regular plunger to try to dislodge it- it works for awhile but then clogs again. Doesn't overflow, but takes multiple flushes to clear toilet. Got a toilet auger to try to dislodge it. Seems to get stuck where plaster is- not sure but thats what im thinking. Any suggestions about chemicals to use to dissolve plaster? or maybe different techniques with auger?

Honey, I did the same thing. I thought I was dead meat when my hubby found out. No problem... keep flushing. It keeps it wet & washes it away! Just keep flushing & you'll be fine.

I would think that the caustic nature of common drain blockage products like Draino and the like would be helpful, though perhaps more over the long run rather than immediately.
IF IT DOESN'T GO AWAY CALL THE ROTO ROOTER GUY TO GRIND IT UP. I HAVE A CRACKED LINE AND HAVE TO DO THAT EVERY COUPLE YEARS FOR TREE ROOTS. THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO FISH IT OUT OR BREAK IT UP SOMEHOW. OR TELL YOU WHAT TO DO NEXT. DON'T YOU HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS?!
well that wasn't too Bright now was it. I don't know of anything that will dissolve plaster once it's harden, not bleach, can you swish a hanger around and try to scrap it off.
there is a master trap built in your toilet that always hols water thus keeping sewer gases from coming into the home.... this should keep the plaster wet. try using the augar over and over until the fluching improves.. if not, then go to home depot and purchase a 52 dollar toilet and install it... this beats paying a plumber 200 dollars to come out and tell u u need to replace the toilet anyway
