What could be the mete out of false alarms within a home alarm system (installed by a company, not a do it yourself)?
Answers: Many things can cause false alarms. The first point to look at is the source of the false alarm.
If it is a motion detector, you might have a bug contained by the sensor or the sensor could have gone desperate. Motion detectors also are prone to environmental issues (Particuarly the cheaper ones) Drafts, sources of heat and direct sunlight on the lens can inflict problems.
Door contacts are typically fairly stable, unless unsurprisingly you are talking more or less a wireless system (many more variables there). As a previous poster mentioned, mis-aligned contacts is common. Another possibility is a poor solder nouns or loose wires. Contacts do occasionally go fruitless as they are a magnetic switch roofed in a hermetically sealed glass tube. Sometimes the chalice breaks and the contact is exposed to oxygen.
I have posted some more information more or less false alarms and common cause on my website at http://www.keepsafesystems.ca. If all else fail, call the company or individual who installed it.
It could be hand error, low batteries surrounded by the sensors, bad nouns. It could be a number of things but the alarm company should be calling you to see or describe you which alarm is faulty. I would christen the alarm company.
