The question is too vague, as there are many roofing options out there. Do you want to install a shingle roof, steel, tile? Do you need to actually put up rafters, and/or sheathing? Or is this a remodel?

Hire a contractor to do it for me. It's not something you can do if you are not trained. Unless you live in a shack or a mudhut - and even then, it is tricky.

Build it on the ground and tie a bunch of helium balloons to it and float it up there. Or you could hire a professional.
If the house has no roof to begin with you will need to lay down trusses if you want a sloped roof. If you want a flat roof support beams will need to be put in place. You then cover the roof with plywood and then decide what "topping" you will want to have.
Each of the toppings have varying materials which will need to be put down next.
Or you can hire someone to do it for you. Also check outdo-it-yourself sites. Maybe the Home Depot website will also have information.
