My Polaris in--ground pool cleaner continues to get stuck in a pool seating area. What should I adjust?

Answers:
If this is a new development, and the cleaner hasn't done it in the past, then look to the hoses. They get stiff with age and will actually "rudder" the cleaner head. If it is an on-going problem then you can adjust the thrust jet on the back of the head. Loosen the 2 screws and move the jet SLIGHTLY one way or the other. Ideally the backup valve should pull it loose, anyway. If you don't have one, get one.
