Is there any passageway to remove the cartridge at this point?

(I have installed probably hundreds in assorted styles/models & repaired many models as well) the description of the faucet you are trying to repair is indefinite. Assuming you have the single knob style (and those have changed over the years as well) Moen have a web site devoted to helping the do-it-yourself plumber. Check out the page that might be your faucet model. Handle operation is as you describe. I've added another page to the sources below. It shows your model completely. Moen cartridges can be stubborn to remove. Firm steady pulling power is needed for removal. There are professional cartridge removal tools available. I'll be checking surrounded by on your progress!
yes there is newly continue to embezzle off the feel and screw then turn the marine off and give somebody a lift the u looking clip from off the stem the verbs the stem out.....thats all simply takes around 3 mins to do it all....dutiful luck
If you're not in a really big hurry, you might try contacting Moen online. All their fixtures are lifetime guaranteed so you may know how to get a unsullied fixture. I've ordered repair parts from them for years now. They're really glib to deal beside.
