how do I get a sharpie marker stain out of granite?

If it's a polished (glossy) surface, scribble over the mark with a dry-erase (whiteboard) marker then wipe off with a dry paper towel. The dry-erase ink interacts with the permenant ink making it eraseable as well. Using Mr. Clean magic eraser on a polished granite surface could cause dulling of the finish, be careful with that.

Try Goof Off paint remover.
Use XYLOL, It is the same as goof off with out the pretty smell and alot cheaper. Make shure to blot with several clean rags.
