Anyone know of a cheaper grease filter for a John Deere mower?
Answers: I dont suggest using Fram oil filter - Ive had a couple bleak ones ( the bypass in the filter made the truck nouns like it have a bad set of lifters- when it never did up to that time i changed it).
Actually, if its possible try for a larger filter - you can never have adequate oil filter. Many are undersized anyways. If possible - take the tractor to an autoparts store and see what size filter could work on it.
try the cross refence bit at walmart within the auto department. or check at tractor supply they have a book. lastly you could send for a auto parts store and see what they say.
Take your John Deere part of a set number to a local discount auto parts store and they will look up the equivalant number for Fram/Pennzoil/ and/or other brands.
take the no and be in motion to any auto parts store the can cross reference and most grease filters are singular 2 or 5 dollars if for hydrolic oil few buks more
