My dehumidifier get totally hot on the stern. Is this regular?

I have a Whirlpool dehumidifier surrounded by my basement (not a bit of the recall) and it runs continuously -- it is set for continuous and has a hose to achieve rid of the water directly down the drain. The final (where the condenser is) blows hot air and get quite hot to the touch. Is this commonplace or a fire concern?

Answers:    Sure, it's normal. A dehumidifier works alot approaching an airconditioner. Since warm nouns holds more moisture than cold air, it cools the upper air to remove the moisture. The heat sparkle that has be removed from the air have to be exhausted (as well as the boil it takes to run the domestic device itself).
If it is working very thorny, YES. Make sure it is away from any wall or piece of furniture to be sure there is adequate air circulating around it. It is regular if it is running continuously.

Maybe you could set it at a specific % or timed setting.
It would get thaw but not HOT.........I would have it checked out..
