There's a strange smell outside my house?

It could be some kind of gas....

It's form of sharp, and sort of like sharp and metallic too...it's really strange. It also gives me a headache, that's why I thought it might be some sort of fumes....any accepted wisdom?

There's a garbage can near used rabbit litter nearby, thought it might be methane or something, but next I remembered methane was odorless....so I'm not sure.

Answers:    If it make your eyes water when strong, it is Ammonia.

Ammonia is created fluently from urine decaying and can be very strong.
Get a lid for the can (or complain to your neighbours).
Hewever, as this pet litter is a rich source of fertiliser - draw from it used for fertilising bushes and shrubs - just verbs it into the surface soil - Soil bacteria will soon convert it to a non-smelly text, and the plants will benefit. - Everybody happy !
It might be some electrical wires that are really hot. You might want to enjoy someone from the fire Dept come check on it If its gas, I wouldn't wait. In reality I'd call them presently. Hope its nothing serious.
