I like the traps with poisoned food that the ants take back home to their queen, usually in the form of poisoned peanut butter. If you wanna get rid of ants, you need to get rid of the queen and this product always worked for me.

Now, fleas? No clue on that one. Unless they also like poisoned food?

I don't know what you've been spraying, but the best stuff on the market is a product called DURSBAN.

I've used this for years to protect our pets (and US) and I can definitely recommend this product. Check at Home Depot or Lowe's for it.

Good Luck
for ants I have found that if you know where they are entering the house block that area with a dryer sheet that works great for me. But I haven't had to deal with fleas so I am really unsure Although I have heard that seven dust works good
Take a bath?
Seven dust from Wal-mart will do it. Start with a thick band of powder around the foundation of the house and go from there. Powder the garage, basement, crawl spaces if you can get to them. Then powder the yards and bushes. You can also powder the pets, too. Also the garden & flowers.

You will need to re-do it after a hard rain, but it's the cheapest and best way to go.
Ants are easy enough. But fleas? They only live a short while without a host. I suspect you have a critter infestation that you haven't mentioned, perhaps a team of Huskies?

Ortho-Chlor is the bomb. I wouldn't have this mutagen in my home, but if you spray the entire outside parameter of your home carefully per the instructions (respirator, gloves, proper dilution)
once a month you'll find that insects of all kinds leave your home alone.

I've never had an ant mound sprayed with Ortho-Chlor that lived to tell about it. So, if I'm driving around, and I see a fellow that looks like John Goodman in Arachniphobia, I'll know it's you!
