What Can i Do
Answers:
To answer your question, an a/c unit that is too large for a given area will "short-cycle", or resolve to the desired temperature before it has a chance to remove the excess relative humidity. This generally occurs in systems that are grossly oversized, and yours is far from that. You might have a bit of additional capacity, but there will be times when you need it. Let 'er rip, and fear not!
Other answers:
10000 btu cooling capacity is about 490 sq ft.
If it's too big, you'll get a lot of cold air and higher electric bills.
I'd use it, you may not have to set it as high.

You can use the unit but raise the thermostat on a higher setting, otherwise you can freeze yourself out of the room. This way you can control a comfort level of the room that you and your family like.
