What voids a toilet's warrenty?
Answers:
putting chemicals in the tank will void warranty on every tank Ive installed for the past 13 years.....there usually is a red paper tag inside the tank of new toilets that states
WARNING: USE OF IN TANK CLEANERS WILL VOID WARREN TY
SUCH CLEANERS CAUSE DAMAGE TO METAL AND RUBBER PARTS AND MY CAUSE THE TOILET TO LEAK AND CAUSE PROPERTY DAMAGE ( or something to that effect)
note: no quotations
also abuse will void warranty IE. concrete being poured into bowl, hammers being used to install, poor installation, poor mounting surface( soft floor where toilet falls over and breaks etc.etc.etc.
Other answers:
dropping it or damaging it during installation.
dropping it or damaging it during installation.
usually 30 days, thats the run of the mill magic number for service people and there work--- if it leaks or runs amuk within this period its covered by most service techs but beyond this period the faults of a toilet can vary so much from the use (abuse) or corrosion factors --- most often the mechanical circumstances can be slite adjustments from a early install---beyond the thirty day period it usually comes from some other source that the unit itself---------hope this helps "american handyman"
