How can you stop a glider rocker from squeaking or sqawking?
Answers:
There are several ways to stop squeaks in gliders.
1) 3 in 1 Oil - This is a good oil to have around the house and works well for those squeaks that are generated by metal on metal.
2) Bees Wax - This is a good 'lubricant for squeaks that are generated by wood on wood or metal. (Oil on the wood may discolor and/or stain the wood.)
3) WD40 - This is a good squeak stopper for metal on metal squeaks but works best for places where the squeaks are caused by rust where water once penetrated.
Have someone rock and determine where the squeak is.. then use the appropriate remedy.
Good luck!

wd40 that's the stuff,wd40 and duct tape are the only tools you need if it should move and dont use wd40 if it move and shouldn't use the duct tape, lol,im just joking but wd40 really works on everything
Turn the rocker over so you can see where the pivot joints are and what needs to be lubricated. I like WD-40 because the can has a nozzle that can direct the spray, but you'll have to use it again because it is a water displacement agent, not a lubricant. 3-in-One oil or sewing machine oil will last longer, but you don't want any to drip on the upholstery.
WD 40 should do it or as someone else mentioned 3-in 1 oil
I would use a bit of mineral oil where the squeak seems to be coming from. You may need to rock the chair a bit to work the oil into the mechanism. Add more as needed. Wipe away any excess. Oil can stain fabric, so be careful.
If you want to try WD-40, I would take a small shallow tray or cup, go outside, and spray a little of the WD-40 into the tray. Then using a cotton swab, apply it to the squeaky area.
A word of caution. I've never used WD-40 around wood or finished wood surfaces so I don't know if it will damage the finish.
