Hopefully you had insurance. My brothers house burned down two years ago and now he is a happier person because he has been compensated for all his losses, lives in a better place, and has all new stuff.
If you need financial assistance to get through the next week or so, contact the Red Cross for food, clothing and lodging vouchers.
I feel so sorry for you. Hope you can find a new place to live.

That's a terrible thing to happen. Unfortunately I have been through two house fires - One insured, the other not. When I wasn't insured I just had to wash off the black soot that coats everything and salvage what I could. You'll be surprised how much you can save. If you have insurance then you need to contact them and get the assessors to come help you out. They will organise everything for you, even alternative accomodation. I wish you the best.
I had the same problem once in Dubai. So police asked for No Objection Letter from the owner. Insurance was there but police advised to take it on my shoulder as the insurance company only pays after court decision and I got to close the house for 2/3 months till court decides whose mistake it is. So I decided to go to mall and buy new dress, go to hotel, have shower and out to night club. Next day police arrested me because N.O.L not submitted within 24 hours. I got to stay in Jail for 36 hours till I got it. Beside that I fixed the apartment on my account. It costed me around 5000 USD.
hopefully house was insured--the rest is up to you what you do
