A new range hood has 2 white wires - from light socket & from motor, 1 black wire from light. How connect?

Old range hood had just 1 white & 1 black to obviously connect to the 1 of each coming out of the wall. Installation instructions say only "connect the electrical".

Answers:
The white wires are connected to neutral. Just take the two white wires and connect it with the white lead from your power source. Black goes to black from the power source.

Other answers:
The whites should be the neutral and black is the hot lead.

Both whites to the white incoming, Black to the black.

All these answers are correct except for one thing... DON'T connect the wires hot. Make sure the power is OFF before you connect the new wires.
