How rock-hard would it be for me to replace my own gas dampen space heater contained by a mobile home?
Answers: Sure, it is a very do-able position. Shouldnt take heaps tools.
Before:
1 is there a gas shut rotten on the exixting heater? but for, this could be a setback. if so, OK, turn off b4 working.
2 standard space/height of old radiator and purchase what fits
3 if you have a digital camera, hold pics of the old set-up of inlet and outlet pipes and help yourself to with you to the store for topical supply lines, pipe nipples adapter so you can see what you need. dont forget teflon cartridge.
4 dont forget to turn off the leading water to the house and drain hot h2o out previously working.
5 go to the library and catch a book on home repairs/ plumbing that covers this. some even have video.

you can do this yourself but you need to clear sure you can turn the gas off...consequently turn water bad...drain tank ,it have a fitting on old one to drain it near..a water hose will connect to this and you will hold to drain it to the outside ...most heaters of a certain gallon amount are usually impossible to tell apart size....be sure to use teflon tape or pipe dope on adjectives fittings , gas and water....be sure to soak test the gas vein with soapy hose down....let cistern refill near water befroe lighting pilot ....
Follow the instructions of wwstat: you'll have need of two eighteen inch pipe wrenches. One roll of Water teflon tape, one of Yellow gas video. Make sure you turn the gas off, gross sure you turn the water to the container off.
Hook a short hose to the bottom bib and budge to a floor drain and open the river bib so the tank can drain. I've have to run a cordless drill with an eighteen inch 1/4 inch drill bit into some of these tap due to corosion and buildup of sand that's hardened, all you can do, you own to drain the tank to knob it. You can try to take the touch off to loosen it or drill it out but, see for the guysher.
Put all the pipes rear legs in a reverse establish that you took them off, the camera is a apposite way to go and get things back together again. I've used one for years, a digital.
When you put the gas pipe posterior on, take for a while Dawn dish soap and make some suds surrounded by a cup, using a brush put some around all the fittings and view for bubbles after you turn the gas on.
