i have a briggs and stretton 35 classic lawnmower and need to know the gap for the magneto ???
Answers:
Asking magneto.... not points, but that is the correct gap for points (.20)
For a briggs and stratton 3.5 classic.... like all the rest, the magneto coil is gapped at .10
You can use a buisness card or paper.. put the paper inbetween the flywheel and the coil, tighten it down just enough so its tight but you can move it some, till the paper slides out with a little tugging but doesn't tear. Spin the flywheel around to make sure its not catching and tighten the bolts down (btw, don't tighten the one on the windvane governor (Plastic flap) too much, make sure it moves freely)
