Help, my automatic garage door is stuck!?
I hear a crash earlier and I go outside. The latch that connects to the automatic part pully entry (tech term) was not connecting, the latch have come out, but I managed to take it back contained by.
Now the cables on one side of the door are loose and not fixed.
It wont budge. What do I do with the cable?
Answers: The main PA spring broke. The door itself without the spring is comparatively heavy. Without the spring comfort, the opener will never erect it. Your only way out is to un-hook from the operator and ask a friend to minister to You lift it and prop it up next to a VERY STURDY PROP... a 2x4 will work. Call a garage door service company in Your nouns. This is a DANGEROUS situation. Don't try it alone. It will come down with highest force. I've heard of citizens getting their feet broken!!
Garage doors are terribly heavy and you could win injured trying to repair yourself. I suggest that you contact a reputable garage door service person and and own him/her come in to service and repair your door. It may be money economically spent!
