How long will pool water get back clear after being treated?

I have treated it with shock and clarifiers. I also use this treatment called "yellow out" to kill bacteria & algae. How long will my pool get back 2 clear water??

Answers:
It totally depends on how bad it was. Most chemicals that you add won't clear out water that you can "see" is really bad and you have algae you see on the pool bottom. You will probably have to drain it, scrub and wash the pool bottom and sides in order to get rid of the algae if you can see quite a bit of it all over. Whoever sold you the chemicals saw you coming and wanted to make a "sell". Sorry to burst your bubble! Having your pool get so bad should not have happened as your laziness in not keeping it clean in the first place is going to cost you hard labor in the long run. I had a neighbor that let their pool get so bad that the cement had the algae embed itself in the concretes pores. I hope that you have a vinyl/plastic pool. If your pool isn't real bad it might take a few weeks to clear completely, again it depends totally on how bad it was. And beware, some chemicals don't work well with other chemicals. Sometimes they can turn the water black with the wrong combinations! Giood luck! And you have got to keep that pump going 24 hours a day until it clears out and be sure you have a clear filter or the chemicals won't do any good at all, the pump will just continue to pump more algae infested water around and around, and around........

Long enough to keep you away from it
Not longer than the time you spent away to let your pool have algaes and bacteria
: You should find a better way to treat such a cute Pool :P
Depending on how bad the water , in the pool is, it could take anywhere from 24, to 48 hours, to clear up.
If you had a Winter Tarp that you put over your pool for the winter the water should be clear. If Not, My brother has a pool and they are just now getting it cleared up. That has taken 4 weeks or a little longer. With alot of chemicals. They had alot of leaves etc.. in the pool. You will also need to sweep the pool and the sides to clean them off if it is a above ground Pool. That is what I have and I Tarp it for winter and add the winter chemicals to the pool.
