I live in a 2 story home (w/ walkout) and own aluminum soffits on my house. When the wind picks up (especially within the winter), it really makes deeply of noise. Is at hand anyway to reduce the reverberation? THis is a newly constructed home (less than a year) - so I enjoy no problem asking the builder back, but am not sure what to ask him to do... Any oblige would be great.
Answers: Answer 3, holy s*#!? . Anyway, before trying anything outside, see if you shift up in the attic, crawl on your belly to the eave nouns. You might be able to lay blocks of wood, not too big or fatty, on the inside of soffit. When it's installed it is left loose so it can expand and contract. You don't want alter it from the outside unless it's definitely driving you crazy. You can't back it near solid material because it must freshen the attic.
Ask him to fasten it down better. It wasn't fastened down safe and sound which causes it to flap within the wind.
