what makes a washing machine walk across the floor?
Answers:
IF YOUR FLOOR IS FLEXIBLE YOU PROBABLY SHOULD GET A SHEET OF 5/8" PLYWOOD CUT TO ABOUT A 30" SQUARE AND PUT THE MACHINE ON IT. IF THE FLOOR IS NOT THE PROBLEM THE NEXT THING IS TO ADJUST THE MACHINE LEGS SO THAT EACH LEG IS AGAINST THE FLOOR AND EACH LEG HAS A RUBBER FOOT PAD INSTALLED ON IT. IF THAT DOESN'T FIX IT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE TUB SUSPENSION AND YOU WILL NEED TO PULL THE CABINET TO SEE WHAT IS WRONG-LIKE A BROKEN SUSPENSION SPRING OR ONE THAT GOT DISCONNECTED WHEN BEING MOVED OR...

Yeah, it is either overloaded, unbalanced or the spin cycle is going way to fast. A repair man can help you out. Try putting fewer clothes in there.

put 2 layers of cardboard underneath? I dunno ive never tried it but it sounds logical to me.
To get to the other side.
Your baby washing machine is getting older! Woo-Hoo! Soon it'll be able to speak.
OFF BALANCE. TOO MANY CLOTHES TO ONE SIDE.
Uneven load usually causes that.
Usually this is due to an unbalanced load of laundry, or overloading the washer with clothing. There should also be adjustable 'feet' on all four corners of the washer. They are usually adjusted by either tightening or loosening them (they are threaded like screws). Make sure your washer is level, and this shouldn't happen.
This can happen when the unit is not level. Try adjusting the levelers on the front bottom feet. The ones in the rear are usually self-adjusting.
Buh-bye now!
The machines engine is not working as it should do.
Usually it does this when the load is unbalanced. If it does it all the time, then get a level and make sure the machine itself is level - usually the little "feet" will unscrew and screw to raise and lower, or you can use matal washers or wood shims (don't use carcboard because it compresses and will go off-level again). If it still does it, the problem is that the washing area is permanently unbalanced and you'll need to call a repairman to fix that - the springs and such will probably need to be replaced.
It most likely needs to be leveled. The machine has leveling screws on four corners beneath it. if is one of the newer ones it may have what is known as self leveling feet.
you need to level it first the feet under the washer screw in and out and have rubber at the bottom, make sure you are not missing the rubber pieces and level it
First, you need to level the washing machine. Front to back and side to side. That will solve some walking. Next make sure the load is balanced. Don't wash 12 pairs of jeans at once. Good luck.
