How to repair wood track contained by drawer?

There are a few drawers in my kitchen where on earth the wood track is extremely old and worn and sheds bits of wood every time I open/close it.. the tenant won't replace it since it isn't completely broken - Is there any mode to repair this without replacing the entire track myself? The track looks only like the one on this site: http://doitbest.com/main.aspx?memberid=1...

Answers:    Try wax it.

Gulf brand wax works pretty well for this type of application. It comes contained by a box, and has 4 or 5 slabs of wax. Just rub it onto the slide, adjectives the way around, and this will relief lubricate the slide, which should result in not as much of slivers of wood peeling past its sell-by date, hehe.

The same wax can be used to lubricate vinyl windows too.

Good Luck
Lubrication next to wax is good but if it's as worn as you right to be heard, it may be too far gone. At the price shown on your link, you can't afford to fool around too much next to it (unless you have process more time than money). I'd just plunk down the $10 and 10 minutes to swap the latest ones in.

There is a indiscriminate the damage is surrounded by the glide cut on the back of the drawer. Lowe's hardware department have about a dozen different sized glides that you can swap out for a couple of bucks respectively. Take the old one stale and carry it surrounded by with you and hit the "Need Help?" button.

If the wounded is in the banister part, there's no really righteous way to repair it that I'm aware of. I usually replace them beside wood or ball-bearing glides.
I believe I would break down and spend the five dollars.
