Gibson furnace burners cut out after 5 second. ignitor turns stale after burner turns on.?
Answers: You have an electronic furnace, NO PILOT or Thermocouple.
On the side furthest away from the IGNITOR is a small sensor call the flame sensor. That makes sure the flame have reached the furthest burner from the Ignitor.
Near that furthest burner find that "flame sensor". Its a style of a thin entity about a quarter inch within diameter and has two organize wires going back to the electronic controls.
Clean that worthy with a fine dissertation like a 600 grit no rougher. and put it wager on. Try the furnace.
You might need a topical one. Go to www.heatcoolparts.com and look on there for the constituent #. All you need is model #. For that look on housing on far gone side in the burner sector inside the furnace.
the thermophile I think on a Gibson is a 500 millivolt-or a 750 millivolt- the big or metal extremity of it sets in the flame the other finale goes final to the gas valve,, it will report to on it if its a 500 or 750 mv- replace that and you should be good to stir.
(if it a copper tubing all the route back to the gas spigot it will probably be a fifty mv. it will take a small wrench to return with it off the gas tap end tho. I judge a 5/16inch
