Answers: Did you enjoy the home inspected before buying? I would find a LICENSED and BONDED nonspecific contractor to come in and pocket a look. I doubt your insurance company would be able to do anything, but you may want to check beside them anyway. Just an FYI, homes tend to settle more during cold months. It may be normal settling, but gain it checked out anyway.
first you may want to contact your insurance company and let them know what is going on. (and ask that contained by the event that something does happen if your insurance will cover it)
you should also see if near are any places that do the type of work required to fix the problems.

you better get on the phone beside the realtor... see if you have any ground to stand on. any upgrades should own been disclosed, and most of course if they were done by the owner lacking permits.
also, do you enjoy a home warranty? maybe consider getting one in half a shake.
The drywall was done contained by the cold then the warmness made it crack. Or the house is moving to much. You bought the house as is. Bummer.
