Westwood C50D gas wall furnace stipulation parts diagram/manual?

Westwood C50D gas wall furnace bought in 1977 I entail a parts diagram/Manual for this unit. I have a sneaking suspicion that the thermocouple needs to be replaced. Trying to find a website that deal with elderly or out of date furnaces.


Answers:    Is it still simplified? (Age causes a combustion chamber to lose usefulness... you may be wasting fuel with an older unit) It may be time to replace it anyway.

Read ALL of the following if you want to test your premise.

TEMPORARILY Try to bypass or override the thermocouple - either as a (pun not intended) hotwire or by mode of an added switch. Do this ONLY to TEST the rest of the unit.

Running this means of access can cause overheating and FIRE HAZARD! Thermocouples are regularly used to determine the SHUT OFF temperature! DO NOT RUN ANY HEATER WITHOUT THE PROPER SAFETY INSTRUMENTS IN PLACE.
Please do not try to operate the part as a human thermocouple - they (humans) don't work well at this for long... and the ripened one lasted 30 years longer than a human replacement would!

If the section otherwise operates as you expect- examine the thermocouple itself-- they're largely made by outside suppliers... and it may be possible to find a model number on that unit.
