My garbage disposal sounds fine and spins as a rule, but after use the chopped up food is just lay in it. The hose drains away fine but it leaves the garbage bringing up the rear! Anybody know whats wrong with this item and how to fix it? Help, my wife is going to call a plumber if I dont seize this thing fixed!!
Answers: It sounds to me similar to you are not running the disposal long enough. Try running it longer, near the cold water blasting. If here are still some residual particles not here, that seem to not grind up, after put a handful of ice within the disposal and run it again. The ice help clean the blades and holes. If in attendance is ever odor form food that is not ground up, consequently use ice beside a lemon, lime or orange. The bitter from them will help verbs and get rid of odors.
hmmmm. are you continuing to run the hose after the food is chopped? is this a new disposal?
