What is going rate for plumbing work??

I just installed a foreign strainer basket on a kitchen sink for a friend. I also unclog a 40 foot long drain pipe from it that was clogged completely next to grease. Also it had roots at it that have to be removed by digging a trench 10 feet long and 2 foot deep to find it. I put within about 13 hours removing adjectives this grease and roots . How much should I charge for this? I want to charge the normal rate a appropriate professional would do.

Answers:    I'm in the NYC metro nouns where the "roto-rooter" service you perform would be billed at $500-600 if done by a professional, who would have the equipment to find the job done contained by a few hours. Labor rates outside of metro areas are typically 50-60% less.
Well that would depend on where on earth you are! Rates vary from location to location, but more or less $75 to $95 an hour would be a reasonable rate! Remember, most plumbers grasp a one hour service charge just for showing up!!!! They don't enjoy to fix anything at all and they achieve paid! Also remember to give in any parts, time to achieve those parts, and fuel too! It sounds like you did one heck of a situation on it, so charge accordingly!
