What products consume so much on my Electric Bills ?

I spent hundreds on my electric bills. I want to reduce the cost but stay in the use. I have these things running
1. Refrigirator 2 doors SHARP
2. Water Heater (4 times X 2) a day i use it
3. 12 hours PC with internet with Pentium 4
4. A Washing Machine 7kg 1 time a day.
5. 100 watss menthol X 4

How do i calculate the amount of watts or what ever that relates to electrics

Answers:
hi ,, i'm not an electric eng. but i hope this will help.

the main thing U should know is the watteg cunsumed by any machine, U can get the watteg of any home appliance from 2 way's either directly from it's information label's taged with it or from the manual or from the seller.

or U can get it from this equation Watt = Voltage * Amperes

by knowing the machines' Voltage which it run's on(e.g. 220v or 110v), and the resistance it has in Amperes(e.g. 60A , 40A), U can then apply the equation to get the watteg.

after knowing the watteg each machine uses, U can then ask your electric company in which time basis thay rate the consumption.

in the end by scheduling the use of your home appliances, U can greatly reduce your Bill.

sorry for the long answer, and I hope it's clear & helpful

is your bill rated in kilowatt hours?

4*100w-menthols?*24hours*30day...
=288000watt-hours=288kW-hours
The most thing in a house the will use electric is anything thats Heats. (this is in a normal house)
A hairdryer thats 1500 watts thats like leaveing on 15 100watt light bulbs.
Most of what you listed you need. you could turn the HWT down a bit and the fridge. And the washing machine I would not use it everyday, Try to do this on the weekends not during the peak hours. Call your local Electric company and ask for these times.
Also go to the local Hardware store and Get yourself some New light bulbs. You can buy energy savin light bulbs that give off 100watts but only use 12 watts. this will help you out also.
Hope this helps you out
goodluck
Get a Timer for your Water heater. Set it to come on 1 hour in the mourning and 1 hour in the evening. Also Pc use a ton of power. Ovens also use alot of power unless you have gas oven. Also try shutting all things in your house and then go look at your meter if it is still turning fast then get your power company to help find out what is using power they will help lowr your bill. They also could offer a rebate on power saving appliances and insulation
if the vcr is left on for a year it cost about 8 bucks. turn it off and at the end of the year buy yourself something nice
Are you running an electric dryer? if you are then the National Electric Code requires it to be on a 220V 30 amp fuse/breaker, assuming it uses the maximum power it can (that would be 27 amps after derating the breaker 10%) then you'll find that the dryer would be using a hair under 6000 watts per hour you operate it. If you're running one load of laundry per day and drying that same load then you're going to be using 6 kilowatt hours if you run it just one hour.

Also do you wash your clothes on warm water? That would increase your demand on your hot water heater. Like the other recommendations said see what you can do to push your usage away from peak hours if you can. As long as you aren't opening the refridgerator all the time it's probably not going to be pulling enough current to cause a major issue, a refridgerator is not required to be on a dedicated circuit. Things that heat are what cause the majority of the bill: water heaters, dryers, electric furnaces, oven ranges.
