caulking how do i remove all the caulk?
Answers:
I agree, use a putty knife. But be sure to keep the blade flush with the surface and go slow. The knife should be really sharp so it will go through it straighter and neater. Also, be sure not to knick the surface or push in too deep. Good luck with that.

I would use a razor blade and be very careful!
its called GOO GONE, get it at a local wallgreens or CVS pharmacy
get a razor blade and scrape off the old caulk before putting on the new layer
they make a tool for this.... it cost $2.87 at wal-mart.. lowes and home depot also have them... Its in the paint section at wal-mart, next to the caulk...its really great for getting it out of corners and hard to scrape places
use a flathead screwdriver,, and work from and end that is visable, get the end of the caulk to lift using the flathead, once the end is lifted the rest should just pull out ..
2 inch putty knife...when finished make sure to clean well with rubbing alcohol, new caulk wont stick to old caulk
DAP makes a caulk softener/remover as does the manufacturer of Liquid nails. They can be purchased from Home Centers. Once the solid caulk bead is removed clean the surface with an acrylic surface cleaner. Alcohol may cause your hot tub to 'Craze' and cause damage to the finish.
