A/C condenser problems?

I have a 1.5 ton condenser and a first company furdown evaporator. has a cap tube. the coils inside and out are clean. the system has had a deep vacuum pulled, and is charged correctly (weighed in ). the head pressure is 200 psi, but my suction pressure is 85-90. there are no driers on the unit. and I can't see any obvious restrictions. It sweats back good but is only blowing out 63 degrees. any Ideas?

Answers:
It could be that the fan speed on the blower it too high. It is not allowing the air to cool down as it passes over the coils. Also it depends on the temp of the incoming air. If it is high then the output will not be cold. 55 degrees is about the best you will get at the evaporator not the wall vent.

Other answers:
once the condenser goes, replace it. ours had a leak in it and after 15 years, it was cheaper to replace it.

sounds ok to me.... maybe a little high on the suction side and low on the head...... the cross over temp (difference between return and supply temps) should be around 18 +- 2 degrees.

if you are still are wanting to fiddle some take a peek at the manifold where the cap tubes split off from the main liquid line....are they soldered in or is there a small union? if there is a small union there is likely a piston inside with a metering orifice.....you may have too big of an orifice.

there is some missing information.......such as cross over temp, suction line temp and out door ambient so i cant do a superheat calculation for you
