I have a Bissel steam rug cleaner that will not put down water. Belt is fine where should I look next for ans.

the unit puts down the solution but the water from the canister does not come down to be sucked up. Can any one give me any ideas where to find the problem. I used it just about a month ago and it was fine. HELP PLEASE I am good at tearing apart and putting together again.

If you have the same unit that I do....there is a tiny little black rubber gasket that goes over the hole below the reservoir. If it is not there, the water will not flow.

Sounds like the water channel is clogged below the tank.
Try running a needle, pin up into the opening to free any obstruction or deposit that may have dried there.
I have the exact same problem with my Bissel carpet cleaner. My husband says its clogged with soap but we can't find a way to unclog it. If you figure it out let me know as we have 5 dogs and reallyneed to do some cleaning up if you knnow what I mean. Good luck!
