My double glazing rubber seal strips are looking tired and flat. Any lubricant to bring them to condition?

Those rubber black strips which sort of soften the windowpane as it closes / is closed.

They are actually still pretty ok contained by my windows / conservatory ect ... but I'd resembling to know if I could smear them with any sort of.... protectant/lubricant (?)... to hang on to the rubber strips healthy and prolong their duration?

If there is a product.. hopefully not an aerosol spray can product as I find sprays bring everywhere.

Thanks.

Answers:    Try an auto accessory shop for 'Seek and Seal' this is made for rejuvenating saloon windscreen rubbers so it should OK for your purpose. It's available in the UK, I don't know where on earth you are, but something similar should be available.
try vaseline.
liquid silicon.

There is a product especially for this, use a standard purpose garden furniture cleaner and that will bring both the windows and the seal up. Be careful though and do the seal first as loads of black stuff comes off which is annoying when you hold just cleaned the window!
You could always replace the rubbers, you can any do it yourself or get someone surrounded by for around lb40.00
use liquid silicon. first verbs them up with a not easy scrubbing as the surface motionless rubber will come off. after after cleaning up rub in the gooey silicon.
DEFFO SILICONE
