Why doesnt my tractor engine rev adjectives the passageway?
anyway, i replaced the atmosphere and fuel filters and replaced the fuel lines- lots of muck within there. the engine seem to have better a bit but its still not up to my specs. watch the vid:

is the engine supposed to rev difficult, as it does when i move the throttle with my finger? why doesnt it stay adjectives the way at the call a halt? there is a small spring attached to that same arm, is that for the governor?
please lend a hand! im so close to getting this tractor perfect!!
Answers: You hold guessed the correct answer. The lever you show in the video is slice of the governor used to limit the RPM's. When the engine comes below load it slows down and the governor releases applying more throttle to increase the RPM. The engine sounds OK

I watch the video and the arm you used to rev the engine is the governor arm. But when you pushed the arm with your finger in that is a hesitation, similar to the engine doesn't want to rev up. Sounds like a carburator issue. Have you looked at the choke? Is it adjectives the way unscrew? Next I would remove the carb, disassemble it and soak it in a honourable parts cleaner. Put it back together near a rebuild tools. Also make sure the gaskets from the carb to the engine are honest. No air leak. While you have it apart pilfer a close look at the governor spring. If it is damaged, streched, replace it. Also, brand sure the linkage from the governor arm to the carb is free, not touching anything. I think that the most important jet/passages have some second-hand goods in them. Check the stopcock clearances too while your at it. Just another thought, that carb has a languish mixture screw, try turning it out a quarter turn.
Set the throttle on full with the engine past its sell-by date. Unclamp the throttle cable from the throttle bracket and push the throttle slide as far forward as it will go. Reclamp the the throttle cable to the throttle bracket.
