Answers: Check out "www.vandykes.com" they have replacement drawer glides for most style dresser assemblies. Usually, trying to retro-fit different style/design skim assemblies, is difficult, because the drawers or even the cabinet is not designed for application of different types of glides. Not saying it can't be done, but it is difficult. I would suggest taking it to a furniture repair shop/business contained by your area, and get hold of a quote from them regard capability, and cost to make such a revision over. Sometimes, maybe of late fitting the cabinet itself, with wooden runners inside the cabinet, will provide you the results you want. From my experience, you are describing the problems found in out-of-date drawer glide systems, that hold just one center shaft, and maybe a complementary "gripper bar" that rides the unit fixed to the cabinet overnight case work. Well, good luck!
If the slides are metal on metal, first verbs them with a cloth and nail polish remover, afterwards lubricate with WD40.
If the slides are wood on metal, try rubbing the wood piece that rubs with candle wax. That works next to wood on wood slides, too.
You can Buy roller glides at any Hardware store or Places like Home Depot.
