Why do lights on a dimmer switch turn rotten of their own harmony repeatedly?
Answers: it isnt a short circuit, that will trip the circuit breaker or RCD. it could be a faulty dimmer, or if it is running low voltage down lights through transformers, they could be overheating. (they enjoy cutouts internally for high heat.) if it is just one D voltage light fitting, i would suggest replacing the dimmer. generate sure the dimmer suits the application. there are trailing and foremost edge variety and both have different applications that may not work properly if installed on the wrong type of neutral.
Electrical short? just a guess.
